5種常見鞋墊類型及適用鞋類

People often encounter different types of insoles and want to know why they are produced and what their main functions are. Of course, besides cost considerations, insole designs are also closely related to our footwear, foot type, common foot problems, and so on. Today, we will briefly introduce 5 common types of insoles:

1) Full Size Insoles

This is the most common shape, providing comprehensive protection and support for the entire foot. There are many designs of full-size insoles on the market. Basically, as long as you know how to choose the right insole, a full-size insole can generally solve various foot problems.(For information on how to choose insoles, please refer to the next episode: How to choose a good insole?)

3) Forefoot Insoles

Forefoot insoles are usually designed to be thin, primarily to prevent excessive friction between the sole and the forefoot, which can cause redness, corns, calluses, and other problems.

4) Heel Cups

Since heel spurs are common in the heel area, heel cups are primarily used to protect the heel and prevent excessive friction that causes hardening of the skin and discomfort from plantar fasciitis due to prolonged pressure.

Risk of displacement: 3.5/5 stars
Applicable footwear: Casual shoes, sports shoes, safety shoes, flat shoes, leather shoes, etc.

5) Metatarsal Pads

Metatarsal support effectively helps relieve pressure on the foot, reducing foot pain, redness, corns, calluses, and other problems. The design is generally thinner and usually features fabric wrapping to prevent displacement.

Risk of displacement: 1/5 stars
Applicable footwear: Casual shoes, sports shoes, safety shoes, flat shoes, leather shoes, high heels, etc.
