Why does everyone need a pair of insoles?
If clothing, food, and air are defined as "obvious necessities," I would say insoles are "hidden necessities." Regardless of quality or shoe size, every pair of shoes is essentially equipped with insoles during manufacturing, which shows their indispensable position in the construction of every pair of shoes. Since shoes are also an essential item for modern people, calling insoles "hidden necessities" is absolutely not an exaggeration.
But why do we all need insoles? Here are 3 main reasons why everyone needs insoles:
1. Comfort
Many people prioritize aesthetics and choose shoes with lower comfort levels, such as leather shoes, high heels, or flats.
Many of these types of shoes look good but are uncomfortable to wear. After a short while, they can make your feet very tired, and even lead to calluses or corns due to excessive friction.
Insoles help reduce friction between the foot and the sole, greatly enhancing comfort when walking and standing. Wearing a good pair of insoles feels like stepping on a cloud, making you feel light as a feather.

2. Prevent and reduce pain
Many people need to walk or stand for long periods due to work, including athletes, chefs, hotel staff, insurance professionals, nurses, etc.
Long periods of walking or standing at work can easily lead to pain and discomfort due to poor posture, foot problems, or insufficient foot muscle strength. Over time, the affected areas can extend from the soles of the feet to the knees, and even cause unbearable pain in the waist or back!
Insoles help reduce the pressure on the body when walking or standing, providing a cushioning and pressure-reducing effect to avoid any unnecessary injuries.

3. Extend the lifespan of your shoes
Humans wear shoes not only for aesthetics or to match outfits, but primarily to protect their feet from injury and reduce the immense pressure and friction experienced when walking and standing. This is also why you'll see the treads on the soles of your frequently worn shoes disappear over time.
However, if you wear appropriate insoles, you can properly protect your beloved shoes, reduce wear and tear caused by friction between the shoes and your feet, and indirectly save money by slowing down the rate at which you need to replace your shoes.
